Hello friends! If you have spent any amount of time with us here at PhotogBFF, then you know how crazy we are about Dubsado, especially if you are a wedding photographer. It’s an amazing (and honestly necessary) tool to keep your business organized and running efficiently.
In my opinion, it is truly THE best CRM for photographers.
You just can’t compare their automation capability with anyone else in the industry! But just like any true love, there are always bumps in the road. And one “bump” we hear from our Dubsado course students is that the sheer amount of awesomeness (i.e. form options) of Dubsado can be a bit…overwhelming. Hey, we get it! Which is why we are writing this blog post.
So let’s break down what the 5 types of forms are and how you can use them in your photography business.
We have contracts, sub-agreements, questionnaires, proposals, and lead capture forms.
Contracts
The first form is a contract. This is a vital one for any photographer because you can have your client sign virtually and have it in a safe place if you ever need to reference it. Once you have created your contract, you may need to use a sub-agreement, which is the second type of form we’ll talk about.
Sub-agreements
Sub-agreements can be used if you need your client to sign more than just your contract, including things like addendums and cancellations! These are important in Dubsado because each project can only have one contract but you can have multiple sub-agreements.
Questionnaires
Next up we have questionnaires, which no doubt will be used by any photographer! Questionnaires can be used in a multitude of ways and you can build them to fit your needs. It’s like a build your own adventure book! You can have multiple choice, long answers, drop down boxes, etc. A super common way to use a questionnaire as a photographer would be to gather information about a wedding day or session from a client. You can also use the questionnaire form as a way to create and share a timeline with your client or track your shot list.
Proposals
Onto proposals! Proposals are amazing because they allow you to present your pricing in a way that is totally professional and on-brand! . You can allow clients to choose a package, sign their contract, and view and pay their invoice in one place. It will make your life easier and help you get clients booked quicker!
Lead Capture
Finally we have the Lead Capture form. You know the form that you want your client to fill out to inquire and book with you? Yep, that’s this one. You will embed this on your website or can share a direct link with clients to fill out! Once a potential client has filled out your Lead Capture form, Dubsado will create a new project for you with all of the information that the client provided. It’s a bit like waving a magic wand! You can also set a workflow to begin automatically once a lead capture form is submitted, which would allow you to send customized responses to your leads without having to lift a finger.
Now that we’ve broken down all the ways that Dubsado forms can serve your small business, what’s the next step?
We think it’s downloading our masterclass on setting up mini-sessions inside Dubsado! This completely free video tutorial is part of our Dubsado course (more on that below). It will help you take what we talked about in the blog and actually implement it in your business!
